As of June 2022, Edelen Tree Services is currently hiring for the following position:

Tree Climber/Grounds Person

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with work zone safety procedures such as the placement of cones and signs, and the provision of flagging services.
• Assisting climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and aloft.
• Operates and maintains chippers, chainsaws, and all other equipment safely.
• Assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Learning and demonstrating safety standards, tree risk assessment skills, equipment inspection skills, proper application of approved knots, proper climbing techniques and procedures, proper pruning and small removal skills, and proper rigging skills.
• Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or designated supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Position is a full-time position working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required. Valid CDL is a plus.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
